AISSEE 2027 has 125 questions for Class 6 (300 marks) and 150 questions for Class 9 (400 marks). The exam is based on NCERT, but not every chapter carries the same weight. Some topics appear every year with 4-5 questions. Others show up once in three years.
This guide breaks down exactly which chapters matter, based on analysis of AISSEE papers from 2021 to 2026. If you focus on the high-weightage topics first, you can cover 70% of the paper with 40% of the effort.

Do not study every chapter with equal effort. That is a waste of time. Follow this approach instead.
Step 1: Start with the top 3-4 high-weightage chapters in each subject. Finish them first.
Step 2: Solve previous year questions from those chapters. You will see the same patterns repeating.
Step 3: Once you are scoring well in high-weightage topics, move to the medium-weightage ones.
Step 4: Skip low-weightage topics if you are running out of time. The marks-to-effort ratio is not worth it.
| Priority | Chapters | Marks Covered |
|---|---|---|
| Must Do | Top 3-4 per subject | 60-70% |
| Should Do | Next 3-4 per subject | 20-25% |
| Skip if Short on Time | Remaining topics | 5-10% |
