2. Create your account with a valid email and mobile number. Both must be active — OTPs and all future communication land here.
3. Fill personal details exactly as they appear on the birth certificate: name, date of birth, gender, category, state of domicile.
4. Choose your exam city and school preferences. This is where people rush. Pick the exam city closest to home — and for school choice, remember the 67% home-state quota applies to the 33 established schools.
5. Upload the photo and signature in the prescribed size and format. This is rejection reason #1, so I’ll say more below.
6. Pay the fee online (UPI, card, or net banking) and save the receipt.
7. Download and print the confirmation page. Keep two copies — one for your file, one your child can look at. Without the confirmation page, the application isn’t complete.
