Last verified: 10 October 2026 (Saturday night). This is an explainer and weekly agenda, not breaking news — a one-screen roundup of the three admission windows that need your attention between 11 and 17 October. Every deadline below is CONFIRMED from reporting across this week; the individual pieces carry the full source detail.

| Window | Deadline | What is at stake |
|---|---|---|
| RIMCEE 2026 correction | Tomorrow, 11 Oct, 11:50 pm | Last chance to fix name, DOB, category, exam city — one-time facility |
| RMS CET 2026 application | 20 Oct, 5 pm | Regular window; late window 21–25 Oct costs Rs 500 extra |
| UP Sainik School form | 25 Oct, 5 pm | Normal fee Rs 1,000; late fee Rs 2,000 till 31 Oct |
If your family is in any of these three pipelines, tonight is the time to put a calendar reminder on the fridge — or the phone, whichever your family actually looks at.
The RIMCEE (Rashtriya Indian Military College Entrance Examination) correction window is the most urgent of the three because it ends tomorrow night and NTA has said there will be no second window.
What you can fix before 11:50 pm on 11 October: any one of the three names (candidate, father, mother), date of birth, gender, category, signature, Class 7 equivalent details, exam city, and Aadhaar details if you registered with a non-Aadhaar ID. What you cannot fix: mobile number, email, addresses, emergency contact details, and the photograph — those are frozen.
The correction facility lives on the official NTA RIMCEE portal (exams.nta.nic.in/RIMCEE/) — the same place you registered. If a category change alters your applicable fee, you will have to pay the difference, and that extra amount is non-refundable. We published a full field-by-field correction guide this week — check it before you submit, because the form freezes after one correction.
RMS CET 2026 (Rashtriya Military Schools) is in its final stretch: the regular application window closes on 20 October at 5 pm, and the late-fee window runs 21–25 October with an extra Rs 500. The exam itself is on 13 December 2026 — roughly two months away, so the form and the preparation both deserve attention this week. Our final-weekend guide covers the fee mechanics and the document list.
UP Sainik School (Lucknow and Gorakhpur) closes its normal-fee window on 25 October at 5 pm — Rs 1,000 now, Rs 2,000 in the late window till 31 October. This is a separate exam from AISSEE, run by the UP Sainik Schools Society, with its own entrance test on 20 December 2026. The form is online only at upsainikschool.org. Before you pay, run through our seven pre-submit checks — the domicile rule (both child and father must be UP domicile holders) and the Class 6 girls-only-at-Gorakhpur rule are the two that catch families out.
Still not out. As of this morning’s check, the NTA portal showed no AISSEE 2027 information bulletin. The exam is still expected on 31 January 2027 (EXPECTED, per the NTA calendar), and the application form is expected this month based on last year’s pattern — but expectation is not confirmation, and we will flag the moment the real bulletin drops.
