Last verified: 24 October 2026. Every deadline below is ✅ CONFIRMED against published schedules reported this month — UP Sainik and RMS CET dates via The Times of India, Careers360, EdexLive and Zollege; the AISSEE notification status reflects a live portal check today, 24 October 2026 (2026-cycle items only; the portal footer shows last updated 22.10.2026). The AISSEE exam date of 31 January 2027 is EXPECTED per the NTA calendar, not yet confirmed by a 2027 bulletin.

Tomorrow is the busiest single day of the defence-school form season, and the six days after it are nearly as full. Two windows close on Sunday, two open during the week, and the AISSEE notification watch enters its third week past last year’s date. If your family has any form still unfinished, this is the week to finish it — preferably tonight.
| Day | What happens | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Sun 25 Oct | UP Sainik normal-fee window closes 5 PM (Rs 1,000); RMS CET late window closes 5 PM, fee till 11:50 PM | Finish both forms today if either is pending; RMS CET has no further window after this |
| Mon 26 Oct | UP Sainik late window opens (26–31 Oct, Rs 2,000 total) | If you missed Sunday, apply this week rather than waiting till the 31st — portals slow down on last days |
| Tue–Wed 27–28 Oct | RMS CET correction window | RMS applicants: check every field, especially name, date of birth and category, and fix mistakes while the window is open |
| Sat 31 Oct | UP Sainik late window closes 5 PM | Last day to enter the UP exam at any fee; after this, only the 3–5 Nov correction window remains |
Two warnings carry over from the official instructions. For UP Sainik, only one registration is permitted per mobile number, and registration-stage information cannot be edited after successful registration — the 3–5 November correction window does not rescue a botched registration. For RMS CET, remember the fee totals in the late window: Rs 1,500 for General, OBC and OBC-NCL, and Rs 1,250 for SC, ST and wards of Armed Forces personnel killed in action, each including the Rs 500 late fee.
The AISSEE 2027 notification is now 14 days past last year’s release date of 10 October 2025, and a live portal check today, 24 October, still showed 2026-cycle items only. That is a delay, not a crisis: the 2026 cycle itself opened on 10 October and ran its form window into November, and the expected exam date of 31 January 2027 still leaves 99 days from today.
What to do while waiting: keep the document set ready (birth certificate, domicile, category certificate if applicable, photograph and signature to spec), and ignore every “notification out” forward that does not link to exams.nta.nic.in. We have already debunked one false “released 13 October” claim this month, and more will circulate while parents are anxious.
While forms dominate this week, the exams they lead to are close enough to plan around:
And one date for the family calendar beyond the forms: Diwali falls on 8 November, 15 days away — plan the festival break into the study timetable now, rather than discovering it mid-week.
What closes on Sunday, 25 October 2026?
Two windows: the UP Sainik School entrance exam at its normal fee of Rs 1,000, and the RMS CET late-fee window. Both forms close at 5 PM; RMS CET fee payment runs till 11:50 PM.
What opens during the week of 25–31 October?
The UP Sainik late window opens on 26 October and runs till 31 October at Rs 2,000 in total, and the RMS CET correction window runs on 27–28 October.
Is the AISSEE 2027 notification out yet?
Not as of a live portal check today, 24 October 2026, which showed 2026-cycle items only — 14 days past last year’s 10 October release date. Treat any ‘form out’ message you see elsewhere as unverified until it appears on exams.nta.nic.in.
How far away are the December exams?
From 24 October: the RIMCEE written exam is 43 days away (6 December), RMS CET is 50 days away (13 December), and the UP Sainik exam is 57 days away (20 December, tentative).
