Tomorrow is one of those rare days when two defence-school clocks stop at the same hour. Sunday, 25 October 2026, 5 PM is the cut-off for the UP Sainik School entrance exam at its normal fee — and it is also the final hour of the RMS CET late-fee window. If your child is applying to either, tonight is the night to finish the form, not tomorrow evening.
Here’s the thing: they look alike but mean very different things. Missing the UP Sainik date costs you money. Missing the RMS CET date costs you the whole attempt. That difference should decide which form you finish first tonight.

The schedule is unambiguous: 25 October, 5 PM, Rs 1,000. Miss it and the fee doubles to Rs 2,000 in total for the 26–31 October window — same form, same exam, Rs 1,000 extra for a week’s delay.
Two warnings from the official instructions: only one registration is permitted per mobile number, and registration-stage information cannot be edited after successful registration — check name, date of birth and class before you submit. The 3–5 November correction window does not rescue a botched registration.
Eligibility basics from the prospectus: applicants and their fathers must be UP domiciles, and the exam also fills Sainik School, Gorakhpur, alongside the Lucknow school. Read the prospectus on upsainikschool.org before paying.
The RMS CET story is more urgent: the regular window already closed on 20 October, and the late window open since 21 October is the last chance — form by 5 PM on 25 October, fee by 11:50 PM. Unlike UP Sainik, there is no second late window in the published schedule.
The totals during the late window are ✅ CONFIRMED: Rs 1,500 for General, OBC and OBC-NCL candidates, and Rs 1,250 for SC, ST and wards of Armed Forces personnel killed in action — each including the Rs 500 late fee on top of the normal Rs 1,000 / Rs 750. Bank charges may apply on top.
What follows is brisk: correction window 27–28 October, city slip expected in the last week of November, admit cards five to seven days before the exam, and the pen-and-paper OMR exam on 13 December 2026 at Chail, Ajmer, Dholpur, Belgaum and Bengaluru.
