Last verified: 11 October 2026 (Sunday morning). The deadline and editable-fields list below are CONFIRMED from NTA’s public notice of 7 October 2026, as reported by NDTV and the Free Press Journal. This is a live-window update — the window shuts tonight.

If you filled the RIMCEE 2026 form and something in it is wrong, today is your last chance to fix it. NTA’s one-time application correction window — open since 9 October — closes tonight, 11 October 2026, at 11:50 pm. After that, the form is frozen as-is.
Per NTA’s correction guidelines, you get one shot at editing. The fields split into three groups:
Change any ONE of: the candidate’s name, the father’s name, or the mother’s name. Pick carefully — only one of these three can be corrected.
Change freely: date of birth, gender, category, signature, Aadhaar details (only if you originally registered with a different ID document), Class VII equivalent details, and the exam city.
Cannot change: mobile number, email address, present or permanent address, emergency contact details, and photograph. If any of these is wrong, the correction window will not help — which is why the photo and contact details needed to be right at registration.
Two cost notes from the notice: if your correction raises the applicable fee (for example, a category change), you pay the difference now — and it is not refundable. Once you submit the corrected form, it is final; review every field before hitting submit.
Do it in daylight hours. NTA portals slow down badly in the last few hours before a deadline, and an 11:50 pm cutoff leaves no margin for a stuck payment gateway.
The written examination is on 6 December 2026 (Sunday) — 56 days from today — for admission to Class 8 at Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun. Key facts about this exam, confirmed from the official schedule: it is the first stage (a viva voce follows for written qualifiers), candidates need at least 50% in each subject, and the medium is English or Hindi except the English paper. City slips arrive roughly two weeks before the exam; admit cards about a week before.
Our RIMCEE correction explainer from two days ago covered the window’s opening — this piece is the closing-day call. If the form is already correct, you’re done; close the tab and go study. If it isn’t, today is the day.
When does the RIMCEE 2026 correction window close? Tonight — 11 October 2026 at 11:50 pm. The window ran from 9 to 11 October, and NTA has said this is a one-time facility with no further chance to edit.
