Last verified: 10 October 2026 (late morning). NTA’s public notice of 7 October 2026 is CONFIRMED as the basis for the correction schedule. The window closing at 11:50 pm on 11 October 2026 is CONFIRMED via two independent reports of that notice (NDTV and The Free Press Journal). Everything below separates confirmed facts from our advice.

The correction window for the RIMCEE 2026 — the entrance test for Class 8 admission to the Rashtriya Indian Military College, Dehradun — opened on 9 October and shuts at 11:50 pm tomorrow, Sunday 11 October 2026. NTA has been explicit that this is a one-time facility: once the window closes, no further edits will be allowed to your application form.
This is the first year NTA (not the state commissions) is conducting the RIMC entrance test, so small form errors that older candidates used to fix through state offices now have exactly one digital route. Do not wait for tomorrow evening.
Cannot change: mobile number, email address, present or permanent address, emergency contact details, and photograph.
Can change: date of birth, gender, category, and signature; any one of candidate name, father’s name, or mother’s name; Class 7 equivalent details and exam city selection (subject to NTA’s conditions); and Aadhaar details if you registered with a different identity document.
The name fields matter most: spelling mismatches between the form and the Class 7 mark sheet or birth certificate are the classic reason candidates get flagged later. Check each one character by character tonight.
NTA has said an additional fee may apply if your correction changes the examination fee category — for instance, a category change. Pay it online (card, net banking, or UPI) before 11:50 pm tomorrow, because the correction does not complete without it. And note: fee already paid is not refunded, even if the correction moves you into a lower fee category.
Once 11 October passes, the cycle moves straight into the final leg:
The exam has no negative marking, answers can be written in English or Hindi (except the English paper), but you must score at least 50% in each subject — acing Maths cannot rescue a failed English.
When does the RIMCEE 2026 correction window close? The window closes at 11:50 pm on Sunday, 11 October 2026. It opened on 9 October and is a one-time facility — NTA will not reopen it.
Can I change my mobile number or photo in the RIMCEE 2026 form? No. Mobile number, email address, present and permanent address, emergency contact details, and photograph cannot be edited. DOB, gender, category, signature, candidate/father/mother name (one of the three), exam city, and Class 7 details can be changed.
Will I have to pay extra for making corrections in RIMCEE 2026? Possibly, if the correction changes the examination fee applicable to you (for example a category change). The extra amount is paid online via card, net banking, or UPI. Fees already paid are not refunded.
When is the RIMCEE 2026 written exam? The Stage-I written exam is scheduled for 6 December 2026. Results are expected by 20 February 2027, with the Stage-II viva voce tentatively in April 2027.
