Last verified: 11 October 2026 (Sunday). The exam date of 31 January 2027 is CONFIRMED as tentative via NTA’s official exam calendar notice of 16 September 2026. The AISSEE 2027 notification is NOT RELEASED — the NTA portal showed only 2026-cycle items on today’s check, as it did all week. Fees (₹850/₹700) and the application window are EXPECTED based on the 2026 cycle. This is a planning explainer, not breaking news.

Three months and change. That is what stands between today and the AISSEE 2027 exam — 112 days, or sixteen weeks, from this Sunday to 31 January 2027. It sounds like a lot until you subtract the Diwali week, the school exams in December, and the last ten days of light revision. Then it is closer to twelve working weeks. That is enough — but only if October is used properly.
Last year, parents who called us in a panic in mid-November had the same problem every time: not the preparation, but the documents. A domicile certificate takes 15 to 30 days. A birth-certificate spelling correction can take longer. None of these can be hurried in January. So the 112-day plan has two tracks, and the document track starts this week.
Documents — this week, not this month. Apply for the domicile certificate now if you have not; read our state-wise portal guide for exactly where to apply. Check the birth certificate against the school record for spelling mismatches. Keep a scanned set of the child’s photo and signature ready — NTA’s format rules are strict and last-minute re-shoots cost days.
Preparation — finish the syllabus. By the end of October, no chapter should be unseen. For Class 6 that means the full maths syllabus, grammar fundamentals, and intelligence question types; for Class 9, add the science and social-science bulk. The AISSEE 2027 notification is expected in October — when it drops, the form-filling should take hours, not weeks, because your file is ready.
Once the syllabus is done, November belongs to one full mock per week under timed conditions — 150 minutes for Class 6, 180 for Class 9 — plus daily error-log review. There is no negative marking in AISSEE (CONFIRMED pattern), so the attempt strategy should be trained now: every question attempted, the hardest ones flagged for a second pass. Track which section bleeds marks — for most students it is maths speed or the intelligence section — and give it a daily 30-minute slot.
Diwali falls on 8 November this year, so November loses a few days; December is also the school-exam month for many. This is where the plan gets realistic: two mocks a month is fine, but OMR-bubbling practice must become weekly — careless bubbling errors have sunk more scores than tough questions. December 6 is the RIMCEE exam and December 13 the RMS CET; if siblings or classmates are sitting those, the house will be busy — plan around it.
The admit card usually arrives about two weeks before the exam (EXPECTED, per the 2026 cycle). Download it the day it drops and check the exam city and centre. In the final ten days, no new topics — only formula sheets, the error log, and sleep. A tired child on exam day loses more marks than any weak chapter costs.
While the AISSEE 2027 notification is still awaited, three other windows are closing right now:
| Deadline | What | When |
|---|---|---|
| Tonight | RIMCEE 2026 correction window closes | 11 Oct, 11:50 pm (one-time) |
| 9 days | RMS CET 2026 regular applications close | 20 Oct, 5 pm (fee till 11:50 pm); late window 21–25 Oct with ₹500 extra |
| 14 days | UP Sainik School normal-fee window closes | 25 Oct, 5 pm — fee doubles to ₹2,000 after this |
If your family has a child in Class 5 eyeing RIMC or a Class 5/8 child considering RMS or the UP Sainik Schools, tonight and the next fortnight are the action window. Details are in our week-ahead admissions agenda.
How many days are left for AISSEE 2027? 112 days from today, 11 October 2026, to the tentative exam date of 31 January 2027. That is roughly 16 weeks — three months of real preparation after setting aside the Diwali week and revision time.
Is the AISSEE 2027 notification out yet? No. As of today’s portal check, the NTA AISSEE portal still shows only 2026-cycle items, and no 2027 notification has been released. Last year’s notification came on 10 October 2025, so one is expected soon — but the exam date of 31 January 2027 is confirmed tentative via NTA’s exam calendar.
What should a student finish first in the 112-day countdown? Documents in October: domicile certificate, birth certificate, category certificate if applicable. These take 15 to 30 days and cannot be rushed in January. Preparation-wise, October should close the syllabus; November is for mock tests and weak areas; December for speed and OMR practice; January for light revision.
What other defence-school deadlines fall in the next two weeks? The RIMCEE 2026 correction window closes tonight (11 October) at 11:50 pm. RMS CET 2026 regular applications close 20 October at 5 pm (fee till 11:50 pm). UP Sainik School’s normal-fee window closes 25 October at 5 pm, after which the fee doubles.
