UP Sainik Correction Window Nov 3–5

Last verified: 16 October 2026. ✅ CONFIRMED facts in this article are from the UP Sainik Schools Society schedule as reported by the Times of India and NDTV on 15–16 October 2026, citing the official portal upsainikschool.org. The exact list of fields editable in the correction window is 🔶 EXPECTED to be published in the official correction-window instructions — it is not public yet.

If you have already filled the UP Sainik Schools entrance exam form for 2027-28 — or you are about to — there is one date after the deadline that deserves a circle on your calendar: 3 to 5 November 2026. That is the correction window. Three days, closing at 5 PM on the 5th, and it is the only chance you will get to fix a mistake in the submitted application.

Here’s the thing most parents miss: the correction window does not fix everything. The official portal is blunt about this — details entered at the registration stage cannot be edited after successful registration, and only one registration is permitted per mobile number. So the mobile number, email, name and class you typed while registering? Locked. Gone wrong, and you cannot create a second registration to start over, because the portal will not allow it.

What the correction window is actually for

The November 3–5 window covers the application form — the part you fill after logging in with the credentials sent to your registered mobile number. Think photograph, signature, uploaded documents, exam-centre choice, and other form fields. The exact list of editable fields will be spelled out in the official correction-window instructions when the window opens — 🔶 EXPECTED to follow the pattern of restricted editing that most school-entrance portals use.

What this means in practice: submit the form carefully now, and treat the correction window as a safety net for small slips, not a second application round.

The dates, all in one place

The exam is for Class 6 and Class 9 admission to Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey UP Sainik School (Lucknow) and Sainik School (Gorakhpur).

5 checks to finish before 25 October

Do these now, while there is still time to act:

1. Registration details, typed twice. Name spelling, mobile number, email, class — these cannot be edited later. Read them back aloud before hitting submit. One mobile number means one registration; a typo here has no undo button.
2. Photograph and signature specs. The portal rejects wrongly sized or blurry uploads. If your photo is rejected during the window, you want the three November days free for that fix, not for discovering the problem.
3. Domicile proof ready. Both the applicant and the father need valid Uttar Pradesh domicile proof. Keep scanned copies in the exact format the prospectus asks for.
4. Download the sample OMR sheet. The official website provides a sample OMR answer sheet and a sample question paper. Print a few OMR copies — your child should practise filling bubbles, not just solving questions, before 20 December.
5. Save the confirmation page. After submitting, download the confirmation page and keep a printed copy. You will need the login credentials for the correction window and later for the admit card.

One more honest note: the portal warns against paying unauthorised persons who claim to guarantee admission. Admissions happen only through the written entrance exam. Anyone asking for money for a “confirmed seat” is running a scam.
