Last verified: 7 October 2026. Dates below are from the UP Sainik School admission portal’s notification (✅ Tier-1: official, checked today), cross-checked against Buddy4Study’s admission tracker. One gap: the admit card date is still ❌ not published on either the portal or the school homepage — we say so explicitly rather than guessing.
Most parents tracking UP Sainik School admission 2027-28 have been working off second-hand schedules — trackers, coaching posts, forwards. The school’s own admission portal has now published a clear milestone list for the session, and the first hard deadline is closer than many families realise: 18 days away.
Here is the timeline as the portal lists it:
| Milestone | Date (✅ official portal) |
|---|---|
| Application form opens | 10 September 2026 |
| Last date without late fee | 25 October 2026 (till 5:00 PM) |
| Last date with late fee (Rs 2,000) | 31 October 2026 (till 5:00 PM) |
| Correction window | 3–5 November 2026 (till 5:00 PM) |
| Entrance exam | 20 December 2026 (Sunday) — tentative |
| Admit card | ❌ Not yet published |
The normal application fee is ✅ Rs 1,000; miss the 25 October deadline and it becomes ✅ Rs 2,000 total (Buddy4Study, cross-checked with the portal’s late-fee notice). Paying double for a form you could have submitted today is the easiest saving on this list — treat 25 October, not 31 October, as your real deadline.
First: the correction window exists — and it is short. The portal gives exactly three days, 3–5 November, to fix form errors. Compare that with the 20 December exam date: NTA and other boards often allow longer windows. Three days is enough if you prepare, and nowhere near enough if you discover the error on day three. Save a print of your submitted form on the day you apply, and keep birth certificates, the domicile documents and a recent photograph within reach for the first week of November.
Second: the admit card date is genuinely not out. The portal’s “What’s New” section and the admission page carry the opening date, deadlines, correction window and exam date — but nothing on admit cards. ❌ Do not trust forwarded messages claiming a specific admit card release date; as of 7 October 2026, no such date has been officially published.
If your child is applying for Class 6 or Class 9 at Captain Manoj Kumar Pandey UP Sainik School (Lucknow) or UP Sainik School (Gorakhpur), the portal’s own dates give you a short, fixed to-do list:
Note that this timeline is separate from the NTA’s AISSEE 2027 schedule — UP’s two state-run schools run their own exam, while Sainik Schools in Mainpuri, Jhansi and Amethi admit through NTA’s all-India test, whose notification is still awaited.
What is the last date for UP Sainik School admission 2027-28 without a late fee? The last date without a late fee is 25 October 2026, till 5:00 PM, as per the official UP Sainik School admission portal. Applications submitted by this deadline pay the normal fee of Rs 1,000.
What is the last date with a late fee for UP Sainik School 2027-28? 31 October 2026, till 5:00 PM. A late fee of Rs 2,000 applies in total, so filing after 25 October costs an extra Rs 1,000.
When is the UP Sainik School 2027 entrance exam? 20 December 2026 (Sunday). The official portal marks this date as tentative, so recheck it closer to November.
Is the UP Sainik School 2027 admit card date announced? No. As of 7 October 2026, neither the admission portal nor the school homepage lists an admit card date. It is expected to be announced after the correction window closes in November.
