Today, 26 October 2026, marks a small but real milestone for AISSEE 2027 aspirants: the expected exam date of 31 January 2027 is now 97 days away. The exam date itself is still EXPECTED, not CONFIRMED — it comes from the NTA calendar as reported by Collegedunia, and only the official information bulletin will confirm it. But the direction of travel is clear. The long, comfortable phase of preparation is over. What remains is a sprint, and sprints need a different plan from marathons.
The other headline has not changed. The AISSEE 2027 notification is still awaited. AglaSem’s check of 18 October found no AISSEE 2027 notice on the official portal, exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society, and Collegedunia’s page, updated 21 October, still records the notification as awaited as of 16 October. One Collegedunia page continues to claim the notification was released on 13 October — that claim was already debunked on this site on 18 October, because the portal itself shows only 2026 items and the page’s own fee figures and links do not match the official record. Do not plan around it.
The mistake most families make at this stage is treating the remaining days as revision time when the syllabus is not actually finished. Be honest this week: if any chapter has never been studied properly, it is not revision — it is first-time learning, and it needs teaching time, not just a mock test.
A workable shape for the 97 days is three phases. Days 97–50 (now to mid-December): finish every chapter once, with one full mock test every week and an error log after each one. Days 50–15 (mid-December to mid-January): two mocks a week, with all time going to the topics the error log keeps flagging. The last 15 days: no new topics at all — only revision of the error log, OMR practice and the previous years’ pattern. Diwali falls inside the first phase, on 8 November, just 13 days from now. Plan the festival break in advance — two light days are fine, a lost fortnight is not.
Two other windows are live right now, and both close before the AISSEE form even opens. The RMS CET 2026 correction window opens tomorrow, 27 October, and closes 28 October — a two-day window, so RMS families should check their forms tonight, not tomorrow evening. The UP Sainik School late-fee window, which opened today, closes 31 October at 5 PM with a total fee of Rs 2,000, and its correction window follows on 3–5 November. If your child is appearing for either exam alongside AISSEE, these are this week’s jobs, not next month’s.
| Milestone | Date | Status |
|---|---|---|
| AISSEE 2027 notification | Awaited | CONFIRMED awaited (checks of 16–18 Oct) |
| AISSEE 2027 exam | 31 January 2027 | EXPECTED (NTA calendar via Collegedunia) |
| RMS CET correction window | 27–28 October 2026 | Opens tomorrow |
| UP Sainik late window closes | 31 October 2026, 5 PM | Open now, Rs 2,000 |
| UP Sainik correction window | 3–5 November 2026 | CONFIRMED |
| Diwali | 8 November 2026 | 13 days away |
First, run a syllabus audit with your child: list every chapter, mark it as done, shaky or untouched, and put the untouched ones on the calendar before anything else. Second, get the documents ready — birth certificate, domicile certificate, category certificate if applicable, a recent photograph and signature — so that the day the notification drops, the form is a one-evening job, not a scramble. Third, if your child is also in the RMS or UP Sainik process, handle those windows first: the RMS correction window is only two days long, and a missed correction is not reopened.
The notification will come when it comes. The 97 days, on the other hand, are already ticking. Use them.
How many days are left for AISSEE 2027?
From 26 October 2026, there are 97 days to the expected exam date of 31 January 2027. That date is EXPECTED, based on the NTA calendar as reported by Collegedunia, and will only be CONFIRMED when the official bulletin is released.
Has the AISSEE 2027 notification been released?
No. As of the most recent checks by AglaSem (18 October 2026) and Collegedunia (awaited as of 16 October 2026, page updated 21 October), no AISSEE 2027 bulletin or registration link was listed on the official NTA portal.
What should a child finish before the AISSEE notification comes out?
Finish the full syllabus once, start weekly mock tests, and keep the birth certificate, domicile certificate, category certificate, photograph and signature ready, so the form can be filled the day it opens.
When do the RMS CET correction window and UP Sainik late window close?
The RMS CET 2026 correction window runs 27–28 October 2026, and the UP Sainik School late-fee window closes 31 October 2026 at 5 PM, with its correction window on 3–5 November.
