AISSEE 2027 'Notification Released' Claim Is Premature: NTA Portal Shows No Bulletin — Fact Check

You may have seen a confident headline this week: AISSEE 2027 notification released 13 October 2026, applications open. It is premature. We checked the official source directly today, and the story does not hold up.

The claim

On 14 October 2026, an education portal published a page stating: “The AISSEE 2027 notification was released on October 13, 2026 by the National Testing Agency (NTA), officially opening admissions.” Its quick-facts box lists the notification as “Released: October 13, 2026” and application status “Open”.

That is a strong claim. It deserves a check against the one source that decides the matter: NTA itself.

What the official portal actually shows

We opened the official NTA AISSEE page (exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society) today, 21 October 2026. What we found:

• No AISSEE 2027 bulletin, notice, or registration link anywhere on the page. A site search for “AISSEE 2027” on the portal returned “No post found.”
• The Public Notices section lists 10 items — every one concerns AISSEE–2026. The Latest News ticker shows only “Score Card for AISSEE – 2026”; News & Events shows “No post to display.”
• The footer reads “Last Updated: 16.10.2026” — the site was updated after the alleged 13 October release date, and still carries nothing about AISSEE 2027.

This is not just our finding. News-aglasem (19 October 2026) wrote that “as of October 18, 2026, no AISSEE 2027 notice has been posted on the official website” — and noted that “some education websites have reported that the AISSEE 2027 form is already out. This could not be confirmed from NTA.” Our own notification watch has reached the same conclusion every day this week.

The claiming page has other problems

The same portal’s AISSEE 2027 page contradicts verifiable facts:

• Its fee table lists Rs. 800 / Rs. 650 “based on the 2026 cycle.” The actual AISSEE 2026 bulletin set Rs. 850 for General, OBC (NCL) and Defence wards and Rs. 700 for SC/ST candidates.
• Its Class 6 age rule says “born between April 1, 2014 and March 31, 2017” — but 10 to 12 years as on 31 March 2027 works out to April 1, 2015 to March 31, 2017, exactly as the AISSEE 2026 bulletin structured it.

None of this proves bad faith — education sites routinely publish “expected” pages to rank early. But parents cannot tell an expected-dates page from an official release, and the “Application status: Open” line is where that confusion turns dangerous.

Why this matters

The real notification will eventually arrive — last year’s came on 10 October 2025. In that vacuum, two risks grow: parents may hunt for an apply link that doesn’t exist and land on copycat sites, or they may relax — assuming the window is already running — and get caught short when the genuine window opens. The rule is simple: if it is not on the NTA AISSEE portal, it is not the notification.

What to do next

1. Bookmark the official AISSEE page — the bulletin and the apply link will appear under Public Notices and Latest News first.
2. Keep documents scanned and ready: birth certificate, domicile certificate, category or service certificate, photo and signature.
3. Do not pay any fee on a third-party website. When the bulletin is out, fees go only through NTA’s own portal.
