Last verified: 17 October 2026 (Saturday, morning). This is a status update, not a notification announcement — nothing below should be read as breaking news. Portal status was checked directly on the NTA’s official AISSEE website this morning. Dates marked CONFIRMED come from NTA publications or reputable education news sources; anything marked EXPECTED is a pattern-based reading of past cycles.

Here is the honest picture, verified this morning on the NTA’s official AISSEE portal: the “Latest News” section still lists only AISSEE-2026 items — the 2026 score card, result declarations, final answer keys, and the AISSAC 2026 counselling notice. There is no AISSEE 2027 notification, no information bulletin, no application link.
This matters because of the calendar. Last year the AISSEE 2026 form opened on 10 October 2025 (CONFIRMED, reported by education portals tracking the cycle). Today is 17 October 2026 — a full week past that analogous date — and there is still no form. EdexLive reported on 8 September that no 2027 application schedule had been announced, and nothing has changed since.
To be clear: this is not a “delay announcement” from NTA. The agency never promised a date, so there is no official delay. But the silence has a practical meaning — and a deadline of its own.
The exam date comes from NTA’s published 2026–27 examination calendar: 31 January 2027 (CONFIRMED as the scheduled date). From today, that is 106 days away.
Last year, the entire application window ran roughly 20 days (10 October to around 30 October 2025, per EdexLive). If NTA repeats that compressed rhythm, the notification could drop any day now — and you may get under three weeks to register, pay, and upload everything without a mistake. Families who spend the waiting period preparing a document folder will treat the notification as a formality. Families who wait for the notification to start preparing will treat it as a scramble.
1. Get the three scans right to NTA’s specs. The photograph, signature and left thumb impression get rejected more often than any other field. Based on the 2026 bulletin pattern: photo 10–200 KB (recent, white background, no cap or sunglasses), signature 4–30 KB (running hand, not block letters), thumb impression 10–50 KB. Make them this weekend, on a scanner or a steady phone camera — not a forwarded WhatsApp image.
2. Pull the certificate folder together. Birth certificate or Class 5/Class 8 marksheet, domicile certificate, and the category certificate if you are applying under SC, ST, OBC-NCL or the Defence category. Our OBC-NCL and EWS certificate validity guide explains which certificates expire and need renewal — check yours now, not on the last day.
3. Check the eligibility windows (EXPECTED). Until the 2027 bulletin confirms them, the standing pattern is: Class 6, age 10–12 years as on 31 March 2027 (born roughly 1 April 2015 – 31 March 2017); Class 9, age 13–15 (born roughly 1 April 2012 – 31 March 2014). If your child’s date of birth sits near an edge, read the bulletin the day it drops — do not assume.
4. Keep the fee ready. The 2027 fee will be confirmed in the bulletin; based on the 2026 cycle it is EXPECTED to be ₹850 (General / OBC-NCL / Defence) and ₹700 (SC / ST), payable online only. Keep a working debit card, net banking or UPI ready — fee-payment failures on the last day are a classic, avoidable disaster.
5. Shortlist your exam-city preferences. The form typically asks for up to 4 exam-centre preferences in order. NTA allocates on availability and may not honour all four. Discuss realistic options as a family now — including how far you are willing to travel in January — rather than picking under time pressure.
6. Bookmark the official portal and ignore the noise. The only place that matters is exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society/. Every admission season produces fake “form out” forwards, paid “guaranteed admission” agents, and coaching rumours. If it is not on the NTA portal, it has not happened. For a refresher on what the whole application involves, see our AISSEE 2027 application form guide.
Has the AISSEE 2027 notification been released?
No. As of the morning of 17 October 2026, the NTA’s AISSEE portal still carries only AISSEE-2026 updates under its Latest News section. The 2027 information bulletin and application form have not been released.
When will the AISSEE 2027 form come out?
NTA has not announced a date. Education portals expect it in October or November 2026 based on past cycles, but that is an expectation, not an official announcement. The exam date of 31 January 2027 comes from NTA’s published exam calendar.
How long was last year’s AISSEE application window?
In the 2026 cycle the form opened on 10 October 2025 and closed around 30 October 2025 — roughly 20 days. That is why having documents and scans ready before the notification drops matters more than refreshing the portal.
Where should I check for the official AISSEE 2027 notification?
Only at exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society — the NTA’s official AISSEE portal. Do not trust form-opening claims on social media, coaching forwards or unofficial websites until the bulletin appears there.
