Last verified: 2 October 2026. Readiness update, not a notification alert — the AISSEE 2027 bulletin is not released yet (CONFIRMED: the NTA portal was still showing 2026 items on 1 October 2026). Everything dated for 2027 below is EXPECTED; 2026-cycle facts are CONFIRMED from cited sources.
October is here, and with it — if recent cycles are any guide — the AISSEE 2027 application form. Buddy4Study (updated two days ago), Collegedunia and AglaSem independently converge on the same read: NTA is expected to open AISSEE 2027 registration in October 2026. Last year the form opened on 10 October 2025 and the deadline was extended to 9 November 2025 (CONFIRMED — Buddy4Study) — a window of roughly three to four weeks.

The families who sail through aren’t the fastest fillers — they’re the ones ready before the link goes live.
First decision on the form: Class 6 or Class 9. The rule is strict — 10–12 years as on 31 March for Class 6; 13–15 for Class 9 (EXPECTED; the 2027 bulletin confirms the cut-off). Check your child’s age against it today. Age mismatch is the most common heartbreak at the form stage, and it’s not fixable later.
Keep ready: photograph (10–200 KB, JPG), signature (10–50 KB, JPG), left-hand thumb impression (10–50 KB). Wrong-size uploads are the biggest time-waster on form day. Our photo and signature guide covers the exact specs and the rejections to avoid.
The form asks for date-of-birth and domicile certificates, plus a caste certificate (SC/ST/OBC-NCL claims) or serving certificate/PPO (defence-ward claims). These come from government authorities and can take a week to a month — you can’t start this on form-opening day. If anything’s missing, apply this week. See our domicile certificate guide.
₹850 for General, OBC-NCL and defence-ward candidates; ₹700 for SC and ST — EXPECTED to continue (CONFIRMED 2026 rates — Times of India citing the NTA bulletin; Collegedunia). Online only (card, net banking, UPI), non-refundable. Make sure a working debit card or UPI handle is ready and daily limits won’t block the payment. Details and traps in our fee explainer.
The form asks for school and exam-city choices, and those locked preferences feed directly into counselling later. Read our choice-filling mistakes guide before ranking schools, and shortlist exam cities with our exam-city guide.
NTA opens a short correction window (a few days, usually November) after the form closes — but only for limited fields. Name, parents’ names, date of birth and category typically cannot be changed. Our correction-window guide lists what’s editable. Treat the first submission as final.
The form will appear at exams.nta.nic.in/sainik-school-society — nowhere else. Every year, lookalike sites and “agents” charge parents for a free form. There is no offline application and no authorised agent.
When the notification drops, we’ll publish a same-day breakdown of the confirmed dates, fee and eligibility. Until then, use this October window: documents, scans, certificates, preferences. EXPECTED timeline: form October 2026 → correction window November → admit card January 2027 → exam 31 January 2027 (per the NTA exam calendar — tentative) → results February–March.
Has the AISSEE 2027 application form been released? No. As of 2 October 2026, NTA hasn’t released the notification. Three independent portals expect the form in October 2026 — last year it opened on 10 October 2025.
What is the expected last date for the form? Not announced. The 2026 window ran 10 October–9 November 2025 (after extension), so expect roughly three to four weeks.
What should I keep ready before the form opens? Scanned photo, signature and thumb impression to spec; date-of-birth and domicile certificates; caste or defence certificates if claiming reservation. Start the certificate paperwork now — it can take weeks.
What will the application fee be? Expected to stay at ₹850 (General/OBC-NCL/defence) and ₹700 (SC/ST) — the confirmed 2026 rates. Online payment only, non-refundable.
