Last verified: 7 October 2026. Notification status ✅ CONFIRMED from NTA’s official AISSEE portal (checked today — it still shows only 2026 items); exam date 31 January 2027 ✅ CONFIRMED as tentative in NTA’s 2026–27 examination calendar (published 16 September 2026); festival dates from standard published 2026 calendars (Diwali on 8 November agreed across sources). The day-counts below are our arithmetic.

The AISSEE 2027 notification still hasn’t dropped. We checked NTA’s portal again this evening — same 2026 items, no 2027 bulletin. But the exam date on the calendar hasn’t moved: 31 January 2027, which is 116 days from today.
And here comes the part nobody plans for: the festival season. Dussehra falls on 20 October, Dhanteras on 6 November, Diwali on 8 November, and Chhath on 15 November. That’s five weeks of guests, sweets, travel, weddings and “bas do din ki baat hai” — the exact stretch where serious preparation quietly dies.
Every year, parents tell us the same story in December: “We were on track till Diwali.” This is the piece that stops that from happening to your family.
AISSEE doesn’t pause for Diwali. Between Dussehra and Chhath, most families lose 10–15 study days to functions and travel, and the damage isn’t the lost days — it’s the broken rhythm. A child who restarts from zero after a three-week gap spends another two weeks just getting back to speed. That is a month gone, out of roughly sixteen you have left.
The fix is not to cancel the festivals. It is to protect a minimum daily floor through them.
| Phase | Dates | The one priority |
|---|---|---|
| Now to Dussehra | 7–20 Oct | Finish weak topics; start weekly mocks |
| Dussehra to Diwali eve | 21 Oct–5 Nov | Revision mode — no brand-new topics |
| Diwali week | 6–10 Nov | Light days: 30–60 min of revision only |
| Post-Diwali sprint | 11 Nov–31 Jan | Full mocks, error log, speed work |
Phase 1 (now to Dussehra): These are your last “normal” two weeks. Use them to close the syllabus gaps — the maths chapters your child keeps postponing, the English grammar rules that never stick. Start one full mock per week, on a Sunday morning, in exam-like conditions. The point isn’t the score; it is building the Sunday-mock habit before the festival chaos begins.
Phase 2 (Dussehra to Diwali eve): Stop starting new chapters. Everything from here is revision and practice. Keep the mock habit, but schedule mocks on calm mornings — never on a day with guests arriving. On function days, enforce the 30-minute floor: thirty minutes of formula revision or mental maths before any celebration. A child who does thirty minutes keeps the rhythm; a child who does zero loses it.
Phase 3 (Diwali week, 6–10 November): Go light deliberately. Formula sheets, GK and current-affairs notes, OMR bubbling practice — nothing that needs deep focus. Protect sleep above all; a tired child in January is made by broken sleep in November.
Phase 4 (the sprint): From 11 November you have roughly eleven clean weeks. This is where toppers are made: two mocks a week from December, an error log where every wrong answer gets rewritten with the correct method, and speed drills for the maths section. If the NTA notification drops during this period (expected), fill the form immediately and return to the plan — form-filling is a one-day job, not a week of distraction.
Don’t be the family that says “we’ll restart after Diwali.” Festivals and forms will come and go; the 116-day clock won’t. Keep the floor, keep the Sundays, and let January reward the November discipline.
How many days are left for AISSEE 2027? From 7 October 2026, 116 days remain until 31 January 2027, the exam date given as tentative in NTA’s official 2026–27 examination calendar.
Is the AISSEE 2027 notification out yet? No. A check of NTA’s official AISSEE portal on 7 October 2026 shows it still carries only AISSEE 2026 items. The notification is expected in October, going by last year’s pattern — last year’s form opened on 10 October 2025.
Should my child study during Diwali week? Yes, but lightly. Aim for short revision sessions — formula sheets, mental maths and current-affairs notes — instead of full study days or brand-new topics. Protecting sleep and routine matters more than extra hours.
When should full mock tests start for AISSEE 2027? Weekly mocks work well from early November, after the Diwali week, with two mocks a week from December. Always review every wrong answer the same day — an unreviewed mock teaches nothing.
