  1. The duration of Short Service Commission is 10 years,extendable to 14
  2. The training of officers selected through the above entries normally commences in the month of Jan/ July every Advertisements calling for application are published in Employment News in April/May & Sept/ Nov. The selection procedure includes UPSC written examination (for NDA, 10+2 (Ex) and Graduate Special Entry), SSB interview and medical examination.
